Dr. Jonathan Gingell's work in the world of Chiropractic Services, in my opinion , second to none. His understanding of us "Runners" is outstanding. He has also helped me as an athlete with my performance and technique. I originally went to visit Dr. Gingell due to a IT band issue in my right knee. I thought I was in some serious trouble.....But a few of my Cypress Running Club members informed me to visit Dr. Gingell. I was immediately taken care of and properly treated. I also noticed the high level of positivity. I was put at ease, which is important for a runner. We care about our legs....tremendously. I now visit him twice a month for preventative maintenance and sports massages. There is some complexities to getting better, faster, stronger as a runner.... I visit Dr. Gingell to help me reach my potential, and you can too!!!!

When other doctors told me I couldn't run anymore based on injuries I had and should just stop doing the sport I loved, I came to see Dr. G to get his opinion. I wanted to see Dr. G based on so many recommendations of friends. He took the time to get to know me, evaluate my pain, and thoroughly explain what I needed to do to heal properly. He really worked on my arch, my calf pain, my achilles pain, and my heel pain. He didn't just get me back to running when others said I wouldn't be able to continue running, he had me running more efficiently and with a quicker return than anticipated. Since our first visit several years ago, I haven't had any serious injuries since. I do come see him before races when I can feel the mileage adding up and fatigue setting in for him to prepare me for a race. He works through muscle tissue and loosens me up with ART so that I can remain proactive and not get injured. Anytime I feel a slight sharpness in my hip, or IT band, or hamstring getting tight, I make an appointment and he can take care of it in no time so it doesn't ever turn into anything bigger. I always appreciate his attention to detail and his knowledge as an athlete himself to know what I'm going through. He listens and wants to keep you active and that's so valuable to me. Patient for life!

I've been seeing Dr. Gingell for about 6 months since having a recurrence of pain due to a cervical disk herniation. I've had the herniation for over a decade and occasionally the pain it causes flairs up. During these times, I feel some pain in the neck but mostly down my left arm. Normally I just "deal with it," but this time it was severe and was showing no sign of going away. I was even thinking surgery might finally be needed.

A friend of mine who, along with his wife, is an avid athlete and sees Dr. Gingell. He recommended him without reservation, so I made an appointment. Since then, Dr. Gingell has been treating me conservatively with adjustments, traction and exercises. It took about 3 weeks, but it did the trick. Sure, the pain might have subsided without treatment, but I believe Dr. Gingell's treatments accelerated the recovery. Moreover, he was often able to reduce the pain almost immediately by relieving pressure from the disk on the nerve.

Dr. Gingell is a true professional but also quite personable. He listens well and genuinely cares. And if you're into sports, he's a veritable expert...he could host his own radio program! I enjoy my visits with him. And his staff is terrific...very professional and expedient.

Funny story: I was driving into his parking lot a couple of weeks ago and I got a very strong cramp in my right pectoral (or somewhere nearby)...one of those that makes it difficult to take a deep breath. No big deal, but when I told Dr. Gingell, he took my arm to my chest, rolled me onto my back on the table, and did a slight adjustment. The pain was immediately gone and I could take a full, deep breath. So it was a little bonus for the day!

BTW I don't describe myself as an athlete. I know he works with a lot of athletes, but if you're not, don't hesitate to see him. In fact, I cannot comment on his work with athletes other than to echo my friend's recommendation.
